Most teachers go in to their profession knowing they will be the ones teaching things to their students. But during the past 7 years of teaching high school, it has become apparent that while I am the teacher I am still a student. From comedic truths about getting older to the power of perspective to lessons on the current trajectory of society, teaching has taught me more than I ever expected.

Erin Miles is a high school science teacher, writer, nature and travel junkie and, much to her friends' chagrin, a huge fan of puns. Adhering to the belief that life is meant to be lived, she embraces as many opportunities as possible. With the lessons gained from these experiences, Erin strives to enrich her students' classroom experience and inspire them to grab life by the horns and never stop being curious.
