Live performance of story is the fundamental lifeblood of our culture, our lives. The being able to experience a story being told by humans that are in the same room with you, breathing the same air you are might just change the world. The inherent collaborative nature of making theatre can help us all learn how to work together as a human race to tell the ultimate story.

Joel graduated from UNL's theatre department in 2004 and got his MFA in Acting from California Institute of the Arts in 2009. Joel is a committed local theatre artist and professor who teaches acting and directs at Doane University and Nebraska Wesleyan University. His greatest role is being a husband to his wife, Kjerstin.
