Writing regularly in a journal can be a highly effective mindfulness practice. Keeping a journal helps us organize our thoughts and process the events of our lives by providing a safe space to enter an intimate conversation with our past, present and future selves.
Jeff Moscaritolo was born and raised in New Jersey, attended school in Northern Virginia, and now teaches writing and literature at Doane University. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from George Mason University. His fiction and other writings have been published in Carve Magazine, Indiana Review, Paper Darts and Lincoln Journal Star.
